Brookmere, British Columbia is an unincorporated community adjacent to Brook Creek in the Nicola region of southern British Columbia. The former railway town, on Coldwater Rd, is by road about 44 kilometres south of Merritt.(Wikipedia)

Brookmere, was a very important stop on the Kettle Valley rail system. Crews were exchanged here and from Brookmere trains would run north to Copper Mountain, south to Princeton and beyond and also Eastbound to Penticton.

Water towers were originally a regular sight along the KVR. The tower at Brookmere is the last surviving water tower on the Kettle Valley Railroad. It has now been moved to private property from its original location adjacent to the Brookmere Station.

The track from this point on was shared with the Great Northern Railway(GNR). Princeton is where the dedicated Kettle Valley Railway line ended, other than a spur to the Copper Mountain mine. The GNR continued on towards Keremeos, crossed the Red Bridge outside of town and head south toward Spokane. The KVR mainline continued on to Hope through the Coquihalla Canyon.
