Children’s Pirate Festival at the SS Sicamous

Sunday June 18th (Father’s Day!)
From 1pm to 3pm

Join us for an afternoon of pirate themed fun and mayhem, for all of the family! Activities will take place on board the ship, in the park and on the beach too. We have a range of games and activities to enjoy, including a bouncy castle, crafts, digging for treasure, racing rubber ducks, and even a scavenger hunt inside the SS Sicamous!

This event is being supported by several local businesses, who are working to make this event a success. Funds raised will go to the SS Sicamous Society, for repairs and restorations on the ships in the Heritage Park.

When: Sunday June 18th (Father’s Day) from 1pm to 3pm
How Much?: $5 per child (Free for Mum, Dad and the grandparents too !)

Should we dress up? Dress up is optional, but makes the day more fun 

Who is helping? A team of dedicated volunteers from the Sicamous Society, as well as local businesses: Par-T- Perfect, Hoodoo Adventures, Bricks 4 Kids, Locolanding Adventure Park and Southmain Market too.

Where do funds go? Funds go directly to the SS Sicamous Society, to help preserve and protect the heritage vessels in our care.

Will the SS Sicamous be open to the public? Yes, the Sicamous will be open from 12pm to 3pm during this event. If you do not want to take part in the festival, you are still welcome to tour the museum. Usual admission prices will apply.

Is the event wheel chair accessible? Yes, the new elevator is installed and operational. Wheelchairs can be brought to the second level.

Will my child get wet? There are some water activities, so a towel might be a good idea!

Is there food available? Yes, there will be hotdogs and snacks, sold by the Oktoberfest Society to raise funds for the SS Sicamous Society.

My child is very small, can she / he attend as well with an older sibling? Very young children can attend for free.

Can the Grandparents come too? Absolutely, the only price is for the children. Parents and carers can join in for free.

What is the Big Baller Challenge? This is a new activity and Locolanding Adventure Park. Find out more here: The Big Baller Challenge

Where do I register? There will be a registration table at the entrance, where you can collect wristbands and a pirate map!
